I have had severe morning (all day) sickness every day for the last 6 weeks. I have trouble eating anything at all and get really bad ‘dry heaves’ in the morning. I have tried the ginger candies, saltines, eating before getting out of bed, acupressure bands and nothing has worked. Is acupuncture safe during pregnancy? Did it work for you? I am 10 weeks along.

Is acupuncture safe during pregnancy?

I have terrible back pain due to pregnancy and would like to have acupuncture. I have never had it before but am wondering, is it safe??

if you have tried it, please let me know if it worked, and how many sessions were required before you had some relief (or if it didn’t work at all!)

i have severe wrist pain caused by swelling during pregnancy (pregnancy induced carpel tunnel). i know it’ll go away as soon as i have the baby, but in the mean time, it hurts! i’ve been using a wrist brace for 2 months and it helped for a while. i’m 35 weeks and do not want to take any ‘pills’ or shots for the pain.

i went yesterday for my first acupuncture session and i cannot tell any change. i go again on friday, and then again next week. the acupuncturist said it usually takes 3 sessions. i’m willing to try, i’m just curious if anyone has had any results!
