Has any female out there been told they have high fsh levels from their obgyn/fertility doctor?
In March 2007, my fertility doctor told me and my husband that my FSH Level was a 14 and that I was able to get pregnant through IVF with donor eggs. Apparently, having a high FSH level means you have low ovarian reserve (quality/quantity of healthy eggs). My husband and I want to have another baby so badly. Do any of you know if acupuncture/herbal formulas really lower your high FSH level? Also, what else could we do to conceive our miracle baby. We do NOT want to go through IVF since it is expensive and #2, it would merely be my husband’s sperm and an unknown female’s eggs attaching to my uterus so that I may give birth. Biologically, this is not what we want…in that case, you might as well adopt?! RIGHT??? Please help with any information as to how to lower a high FSH Level….thanks so much in advance.

I was successful lowing my FSH. My highest was 14. I started acupuncture, doing daily wheatgrass shots (Amazing Grass 1T. per day), and daily gentle exercise like walking or yoga. In 3 months, my FSH dropped to 8. I have known other women who lowered their FSH with wheatgrass as well.
My only option to conceive is IVF. Many doctors will push a women with high FSH into using donor eggs. Forgive my bluntness, but F your doctor and any doctor who suggest donor eggs without suggesting other options. I got pregnant via IVF when my FSH was 14. Many doctors would have turned me away but, thankfully, I have a FSH friendly RE who found the right medication protocol for me. Unfortunately, my pregnancy was tubal but at least I do know that with a high FSH, they can get some good eggs from me. BTW, they got 15 that cycle.
Please email me via Yahoo Answers if you have any questions about my acupuncturists’ protocol! Good luck!
