I have done accupuncture for other things and am very happy with the results. Try that for awhile – some insurance covers it. I am sure you can get a free consultation with a doctor, you, and your hubby. He or she might even be able to do something for the low sperm count.
I did acupuncture and infertility. My husband also did acupuncture to increase his sperm count. I did whatever eastern medicine was suggested to me as long as it did not get in the way of my fertility treatments. I am pregnant now and due in a couple of weeks and though i am thankful for the acupuncture, i know it was my awesome fertility doctor that got us pregnant. the way i look at it is i am not a science experiment, I don’t care what works to get me pregnant. I just want a baby and i will do whatever it takes. at age 33, we started with our fertility dr (we began testing at 32), it still took us another two years to have a successful pregnancy. you are 43 and do not have a lot of time. your first line of attack is an aggressive fertility doctor. i too have fibroids and mine did not need to be removed due to their location. they ddi not think they would negatively affect me fertility. at 8 plus months pregnant i have been to the perinatologist many times to check on the baby’s progress, to make sure that they were not causing growth restrictions for the baby. they have not, which is what my fertility dr predicted when she recommended not removing them. removingthem would have neccesitated a surgery and recovery time i did not want to waste. good luck
Hi Me!
Our acupuncturist has successfully treated men with low sperm count in addition to other infertility issues in both men & women. Our acupuncturist typically tells clients (if just really infertility issues) they should be pregnant within 3 months if they follow her strict guidelines (change of diet, lifestyle, supplements, etc).
All too often people turn to alternative medicine as a last resort, so Kudos to you for evaluating your options beforehand.
Be sure to thoroughly research the acupuncturists and ensure they are experienced and have success with treating infertility.
Good Luck!
