What Does Acupuncture Actually Involve?

 Acupuncture involves inserting and sometimes manipulating very thin needles into very specific points in the body. It’s similar to physical therapy in that it is a process-oriented (i.e. ongoing) method of intervention. The insertion of the various needles are said to stimulate energy flow “Qi” (tee). Treatments for women with infertility commonly last three to four months spanning the time prior to insemination and after IVF.

It’s important to note that a commitment to acupuncture treatment means more than turning yourself over for needle manipulation. Most practitioners trained in Chinese medicine will conduct a complete physical workup that includes examination of the color of the tongue and taking of the pulse. The information from these preliminary activities helps the practitioner to understand the blood flow, body fluid balance and energy levels of the particular patient.

We have been trying to get pregnant for years. We have tried everything. We have tried several different types of fertility meds and recently did In-Vitro fertilization. Nothing seems to work. We have done acupuncture as well. We conceived naturally twice years ago and miscarried, but we were not planning to have a family that young, so we thought we has time. I had my tarot cards read and the woman who read them asked me why I am worried about my fertility. I never told her anything about myself or my concerns.She then told me that their was a soul that was waiting to come into my family. She said that the soul was waiting for the right timing and with the magician card crossing a child card that it shows that nothing is impossible. She told me a spell to do that will help us. She said the soul was waiting on the next full moon. My husband thinks this is nuts and although I feel a little weird doing it, I am willing to try anything. I have prayed and prayed to god, I believe what this woman said because even as I left her office, I still had never told her my reasons for coming in there. I left with a spell that I never asked her for. Is doing this going to far? My husband thinks so. He is waiting for a response from people here with me. What do you think? Would you try it?

Herbal infertility treatment is very old indeed – in fact it goes back thousands of years. Two of the oldest examples of the uses of herbs for infertility can be found in Indian Ayurveda (even as earlier as 6000 years) and in CTM or Chinese Traditional Medicine. Do you know that the causes for infertility are many, and also that infertility treatment is a must? Both men and women are prey to this condition which is an effect of any disease or innate incapacity. Infertility is a complex matter that requires immediate attention. Causes of infertility in women are numerous like dysfunction of ovulation process, low hormone level (Progesterone), low ovary production and count, Endometriosis, problems in fallopian tube or uterus, age, Menopause and Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. The advancement of medical science has introduced improved methods like In vitro Fertilization (IFV) or Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) to combat infertility. These methods aim to fertilize the egg or ovum out of the woman’s womb with sperms, but they are surely the last recourse. In this process, the ovulation is carried on by regulating the hormones followed by the extraction of the egg from the ovaries. Then it is fertilized artificially with sperms through a fluid medium. In the last leg of the process, the fertilized egg is replaced in the ovary for inducing pregnancy. It is artificial process and the stake is higher as the eggs are taken out from the ovary, fertilized and then again implanted in a laboratory. In normal circumstances, it is the ovary which takes the call and permits a healthy sperm to enter. Here, the embryologist chooses the sperm. If his discretion proves to be wrong then this artificial system fails to combine the healthiest sperm with the healthiest egg. Chances are that if the match goes wrong, the child may not be born or may have discrepancies, if born.

The Chinese art of acupuncture has been used for centuries to help the body heal. Acupuncture itself is the insertion of ultra-thin, sterile needles, which vary in length. There are specific points on the body that are relevant to the function of different organs. These points are the channels or meridians from the external body to the internal body.
